IDENTITY       BRAND
Wargames Factory was an innovator in 28 mm plastic miniatures for table top gaming. Miniatures were traditionally made of metal which were heavier and were sold as figurines in a package. On the contrary, Wargames created lightweight plastic minis from recycled plastic that could be combined in a variety of ways as figures came in parts and pieces, similar to putting together small models. The company hired me to take their packaging and marketing to another level within the gaming industry. Typical packaging in the industry was extremely plain and basic  - sometimes even just a bag of figures stapled shut with a cardboard hanger. Wargames on the other hand really wanted to build their brand into a unique, recognizable force in tabletop gaming. As such, for each line of figures, I created a unique logo to capture the essence of every genre. It was a lot of fun because the company would come out with a science fiction line (Alien Wars) one day and a mythic hero line (Myths and Legends) the next, and a historic line after (Horse and Musket) and I had autonomy to design and lay out as I deemed fit. Packaging and print ads included not just artwork, but how figures could look in actual life, along with parts, descriptions and more. Ultimately, my design and marketing helped Wargames grow from a startup, to an award winning major player in the miniatures  industry.
